In Flames Wins Swedish Grammi

In Flames took home a Grammi last night in the Best Hard Rock Album category for their most recent release, "A Sense of Purpose." Other nominees included Meshuggah for "obZen," Millencolin for "Machine 15," Opeth for "Watershed," and Sabaton for "The Art of War." In Flames also received a nomination in the Best Live Act category. They lost out to garage punk band The Hives.

The death metallers also performed their song "Alias" at the live ceremony, with fellow Swedish recording artist Timo Räisänen. The event took place in Stolkholm and was broadcast on Sweden's national channel TV4. The band's website provided video footage of this performance:
